2007 Annual Campaign

Dear Friends of Three Rivers Rowing Association,

In just a few short weeks 2007 will be over and all of us here at Three Rivers Rowing Association (TRRA) will begin another busy year of reconnecting Pittsburghers to our river heritage through rowing and paddling.

As we enter our 24th year as a community based nonprofit organization, we are most proud to say that we still hold true to the values we started with so many years ago. Our mission - to develop and deliver safe, sustainable programs and events that promotes the benefits of rowing and paddling to a diverse, growing membership - remains our driving force. But this job would not be possible without you.

We pride ourselves on being an accessible organization, reaching out to as many Pittsburghers as possible. The generous support of Rowers and Paddlers like you has helped us provide affordable programming for inner city youth, low cost membership opportunities and rowing programs for high schools in need.

In addition to our invaluable community efforts, keeping our rivers clean is one of our most important responsibilities at TRRA. Annual donations have allowed us to pursue environmental initiatives such as cleaning up the riverbanks and trails so that we can continue to enjoy these resources for many years to come.

Finally, at TRRA we feel that personal fitness is a lifestyle. This lifestyle is made possible by our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment which have never been better. Generous support in 2007 allowed us to provide you with the most up-to-date gear including new oars, Personal Floatation Devices, boat shoes, safety launches and indoor exercise equipment.

We are proud to say that the generous donations we received in 2007 allowed us to serve over 3,000 rowers and paddlers. You are a fundamental part of TRRA and we couldn’t have made any of these improvements without you. I hope we can count on you to make TRRA a high priority for your giving this year.
