2012 Sculling/Private Lessons

Are you interested in getting instruction in rowing around your schedule in a private or semi-private setting?
--> Do you want to get certified to row in singles so you can go out
on your own?
--> Do you and some friends want to come learn how to row together,
but the programs offered don't work with your schedule?
--> Have you been sculling, but want more technical instruction on the
art of sculling or to increase your oarsmanship?
--> Are you interested in having a private lesson in the tanks to
discuss your sweep rowing technique in order to join one of our team programs?
--> Are you a fitness member or looking to join as a fitness member
and want a private lesson to ensure that you have the appropriate technique when using the rowing machines and/or weights?

TRRA offers two options for purchasing lessons. Each lesson is about one and a half hours in length. You can purchase these individually, or you can purchase a set of five lessons. You can do the lessons with a small number of people as a private lesson (1-2 people) or a semi-private lesson (3+ people).

Lessons can be done in the morning, afternoon or evening on weekdays or weekends. Please contact Joy Nix by phone 412-298-2315 or email to discuss what options will work best for your situation. She can also explain coach availability.

If you are interested in receiving the sculling certification and have limited or no rowing experience, we recommend the five-lesson package as that is typically adequate time to receive the certification.
