2012 Summer Select Sculling Squad
The Three Rivers Rowing Association Summer Select Sculling Squad for High School Students is for athletes with rowing experience, however, we will cater to all levels (beginner scullers and experienced racers). All participants should have some rowing experience and must be able to qualify for the 2,000 meter time standards.
The camp is open to male and female rowers currently in high
school (or junior high) or graduating high school in the spring of 2012. The
time standards are as follows:
Girls Time Standard: 8:15.0 2k
Boys Time Standard: 7:15.0 2k
The Purpose:
This team is intended for high school rowers who are looking to become more competitive by refining their technique and also staying in great shape. Small boat rowing is GREAT for young rowers to really learn the “feel” of a boat. The group will use singles, doubles and quads. The program will also be a healthy alternative to the sweep rowing that many high school rowers do during the school year. College coaches often encourage their recruits to be proficient scullers!
Races:
Racing will not be mandatory, but the head coach will decide whether either race is appropriate for the entire team, any individuals or anyone at all. Interest in attending must be expressed at the beginning of the session. Race fees are not included in the Program fee. Possible races are listed below in the Program Dates.

Session 1
