Dear TRRA Community,

The Governance Committee of TRRA is recommending the following candidates to fill vacancies on the TRRA Board of Directors beginning in 2022. Please take a moment to read through the bios of both 2022 Board Candidates, Ramona Crawford and Tom Hudak. The next election will take place at the 2022 TRRA Annual Meeting.

TRRA 2022 Board of Director Candidates

Ramona Crawford

Dr. Ramona M. Crawford is a skilled and motivated nonprofit leader. With an extensive history working in non-traditional educational settings and family/child service organizations, she brings value to organizations across various systems.

Currently, Dr. Crawford serves as the Director of Research and Impact for Green Building Alliance. With this position, she leads efforts to define, measure, and share qualitative impact across organizational programs with an emphasis on the Green & Healthy Schools Academy (GHSA) – a strategic organizational program to ensure that all places of learning are inspiring, engaging, healthy, and high-performing for all students.

In her previous role she served as a graduate research assistant at Duquesne University where she studied and co-taught under the faculty in the School of Education. Simultaneously, she worked as a Positive Connections Coach for Family Resources. Other notable past positions include Program Manager at Branches Inc. (4 years), Corps Member at AmeriCorps (4 years) and Educational Consultant at America's Little Leaders Christian Academy.

Dr. Ramona M. Crawford's passion lies in promoting child and adult development through effective community building, teaching, tutoring and training. Additionally, she works tirelessly to understand organizations to advance educational practices, especially with regards to the interconnectedness of environmental, human health, social equity, and economic systems.

Tom Hudak

Tom Hudak began rowing at Three Rivers Rowing Assoc. in 1989 by enrolling in a learn-to-row program. Shortly after that two-week introduction, he founded and competed with the Case Western Reserve University Rowing Club. As a post-collegiate competitive rower Tom has earned over 100 podium finishes including a gold medal at Henley Masters in Henley-on-Thames and multiple gold medal finishes at US Rowing Masters Nationals and Canadian Henley.

Tom has shared his passion for rowing and sculling by coaching at the collegiate and high school levels at Harvard, Brandies University, Lasell College, and Pine-Richland High School. He is currently a US Rowing Level 2 Coaching Candidate.

Tom has previously served on the TRRA Board and was a member of the equipment committee prior to relocating to Boston in 2014. In Boston he was a Senior Member and Assistant Treasurer of the Riverside Boat Club. From Boston, Tom and his family moved to Washington DC where he was a Senior Member of Potomac Boat Club where he served on the Finance Committee.

Professionally, Tom is a CPA/ABV with MBA and law degrees. He provides business valuation, M&A advisory and forensic accounting services and has testified as an expert witness in several states. He is also an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Tom is an active first responder and serves the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company as a Firefighter/EMR and Board member. Previously, Tom was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in Cleveland.

Tom resides in Wexford, PA with his wife Heather, son Max, and hounds “Otter” and “Giles.”

Additional Election Information:

Voting: All members in good standing, ages 18 years old and above will be eligible to vote. Ballot information will be sent out the week prior to the Annual Meeting.

Additional Candidates: If more than 10% of the membership desire additional candidates for consideration, they shall submit a lit of such candidates to the Nominating Committee by January 5, 2022.

2022 Annual Meeting: January 22, 2022 @ 11:30am

Please save the date for the 2022 TRRA Annual Meeting. This meeting will be held virtually and an invitation will be sent out no later than December 15, 2021.
