December 2021 Community Newsletter

For the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving the TRRA Community as the first Director of Development in the club’s history. It was an honor to help carry on and enhance the original vision of a true community boathouse for all.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and proud of all that we’ve accomplished together, from new docks, locker rooms, and an erg room to the creation of the Boathouse Preservation Society and an expanded vision for increasing diversity and inclusion in rowing and paddling.

Today is my last day as a member of the team, as I’ll be moving on to a very exciting opportunity with The Roberto Clemente Museum, helping to preserve the life and legacy of one of my heroes.

I want to thank Jenn Grieb and Bob Oltmanns for believing in my abilities to push the TRRA mission forward despite having never held an oar. And thank you to everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for making this community so special. I’m very lucky to have been part of it.

Sincerely,

CJ Strauss

Director of Development

Thank YOU, CJ, for helping to grow our organization, enhance our impact, and being an incredible leader and teammate in our community. We wish you and your family nothing but the best in your next chapter and we look forward to the next time we cross paths!

SQUAD LOCKER

We have opened a year-round TRRA online apparel store featuring tees, hoodies, jackets, pants, bags and accessories, and more. Take a look through the link below. If there's an item you'd like to see us an email at info@threeriversrowing.org.

This is a separate store that will run in addition to the Boathouse Sports store, which will still open at various times throughout the year and feature unis and other rowing-specific apparel.

ANNUAL APPEAL

Please consider contributing during the Annual Appeal to help position Three Rivers Rowing Association as a leader in increasing diversity, representation, and inclusion across the sports of rowing and paddling in Western Pennsylvania.

WINTER ROWING LEAGUE

TRRA is thrilled to announce the return of the Winter Rowing League in 2022! The Winter Rowing League is a fun and engaging way to stay fit, meet new people, and stay active after the holidays!
