If you add up the weight of all the medals Three Rivers took home this past weekend at the Pittsburgh Indoor Rowing Championships, it would total over 2.2 pounds. That’s a lot of hardware.
These glimmering results are a testament to not only TRRA’s commitment to consistent winter training, but also the diverse membership of our crew. We placed in 35 events, bringing home 52 medals, not including National Championship rankings. (List of placing finishers below).
On a National Championship scale, TRYR athletes took 5 places on the podium:
M U19 (1-Min) Gold🥇: Blake Mastro
M U23 Ltw (2K) Gold🥇: Gavin Mastro
M U23 (2K-Relay) Silver🥈: Blake Mastro, Gavin Mastro, Charlie Inman, Oliver Inman
W U19 (2K-Relay) Bronze🥉: Remi Goldstein, Kit Brumsted, Meadow Johnson, Sarah Caridad
M U19 (2K) Bronze🥉: Blake Mastro
Once again, TRRA organized and hosted a world-class event. From the USRowing officials on site to the competitors and their coaches, people agreed the event went smoothly and was a success.
Full Race Results available HERE. A huge THANK YOU to all of our volunteers for their help with registrations, merchandise, warm-up room assistance, record-keeping, awards, and logistics. We could not have done it without you.

Throughout the day, rowers took their marks, and emotions ran high to the finish line of each race. It was so loud in the competition room, spectators were smart to bring a pair of ear plugs.
You can probably “hear” the energy in some of the professional photos captured by Connor Schafer (@schafersshots). Check out the @3RiversRowing Instagram for videos from our story and more photos.
We also had @Robbieconsulting and @Bostoncoachingproject as well as coaches from Dayton Crew and Mercyhurst Crew on-site to offer college recruiting advice and connections.

If we missed anything, feel free to send aodhanridenour@threeriversrowing.org an email and we’ll get the blog post updated.
Thanks for a great weekend in Pittsburgh.
Row hard,
TRRA Staff
PS. We still have a selection of National Championship hoodies and t-shirts available. All profits go directly to TRRA, so if you forgot to grab one this past weekend, now’s your chance! Click here to place your order.
