Happy November! I hope this newsletter finds everyone well and winding down from a busy fall season.
With only a few weeks left in 2021, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your support and engagement with our TRRA community throughout the year. Though not as challenging as 2020, this year provided its fair share of uncertainty and last-minute planning and execution as we continued to operate in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was not ideal for any of us and yet we rallied together and produced meaningful rowing and paddling experiences throughout the entire year.
With the water season winding down, I know a big question on everyone’s mind is, what will winter training look like this year? Right now, we are actively working to finalize the protocols and procedures for safe indoor training during the winter months with our local public health officials and governing bodies. We are hopeful that we will be able to safely operate our winter programming, in some capacity, beginning on November 29th. As we work through the final details of what winter training will look like, please know it is our intention to provide safe, indoor space for all of our rowing and paddling programs, in some capacity, including the return of the TRRA Winter Rowing League. We will have the first phase of a plan out to the community no later than Monday, November 8th. We appreciate your patience and understanding over these next few days.
I hope that everyone is able to enjoy these last few weeks of the fall season and can take advantage of a few final rows and paddles on the river. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed or pledged contributions to the 2021 campaign and I hope that everyone is able to join us for the Turkey Scramble on Saturday, November 13th! We hope this will be a fun and inclusive event for our entire community as we wind down the year.

TURKEY SCRAMBLE REGATTA
Join your friends at TRRA for a recreational row on Sat 11/13 and help kick off the 2021 Annual Campaign Fundraiser! We'll meet at the WL Boathouse at 9:30am, line up by height and count off by eight -- just like in the schoolyard. The row will be directly followed by a cookout with food and drinks provided by TRRA.
The Turkey Scramble Regatta is for the entire community, you do not have to be a TRRA Member but some rowing experience is necessary. Paddlers and dragon boats are welcome to join the fun as well!
Let's get EVERY EIGHT IN THE BAY out on the water!
