Clean Water Act Festival

Volunteer Opportunity! Join us Saturday 10/15 as we open the Millvale Campus to the Clean Water Act Festival.

We are asking rowers and paddlers to teach folks to use the row and paddle ergs, to row in the tanks, and to provide guidance at the dragon boat display. Brittany Bell will reach out to all volunteers the week of with details.

The day would not be possible without volunteers to help the afternoon run smoothly. Volunteers will be needed from 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm. If interested, please sign up at the link below.

Second Annual Turkey Scramble

The Turkey Scramble is back! Join your friends at Washington’s Landing on Saturday, November 19th at 10:30am to kick off the winter season and help support the Millvale $20 for 20 Years Campaign. Bring a friend! It’s open to all (some rowing experience is necessary).

Just like last year, we’ll meet by the boat bays, line up by height, and count off by eight. Afterwards, we’ll host a community potluck in the erg room. Please bring your favorite snack or non-alcoholic beverage for all to enjoy!

Registration is free through the link HERE.

Executive Director's Report

Dear TRRA Community,

One week into October and all of our programs are firing on all cylinders. Our collegiate, high school and youth programs are back on campus with new groups of novices joining varsity athletes to start their school year. Our paddling programs are riding the momentum of an incredibly successful Pittsburgh Dragon Boat Festival, hosted by the Hearts of Steel, that took place on September 24th. And just last weekend, TRRA hosted the 36th Annual Head of the Ohio Regatta that featured 60 teams, over 540 entries and over 1,700 athletes battling themselves and the elements on the Allegheny River.

These last few weeks have been an engaging and inspiring way to start the fall season and would not have been possible without the support of our community. A huge thank you to our event sponsors, UPMC, Baker Square, and Alcosan for supporting the 36th Annual Head of the Ohio regatta. Thank you to our TRRA staff, coaches, and volunteers for working tirelessly to ensure safe and impactful events. Thank you to our athletes for training hard, competing with class, and proudly representing TRRA both on and off the water.

Thank you all for your continued support of TRRA and all of the programs in our community. We hope to see you safely on the water with us in the coming weeks and good luck to all crews in their upcoming races!

Be well and be safe!

Matt Logue

Executive Director
